What: We will prepare and eat a traditional Syrian dinner with all the trimmings. You will learn to prepare classic Syrian appetizers, Syrian-style lamb stew, and side dishes commonly served for dinner with family and friends. We will work together to prepare a feast and then relax and enjoy the fruits of our labor.

Mezze – Baba ghanoush*, batinjan makdous (pickled eggplant), zaytoon wa toom* (cracked green olives with garlic sauce), assorted homemade pickles – served with arak or tea.
Dinner – Lubee bi lahm*, riz bi sha’ariyee* (traditional Syrian rice dish), arnabeet ma’a tahniyee* (fried cauliflower with tahini sauce), fattoush salad* – served with red wine or orange-blossom/mint soda.
Dessert – Kanaife (special shredded phyllo dough filled with cheese filling and drenched in attar) – served with Arabic coffee or tea.
